Loss can take many shapes in our lives; the loss of a significant relationship, the loss of our sense of purpose, the loss of employment, perhaps the loss of our health or that of a loved one, and even the loss of an aspiration or dream. If you or someone you know is finding Christmas to be a difficult time, Bethany of Fox Valley United Methodist Church invites you to our 2019 Blue Christmas service in the sanctuary on Thursday, December 5th at 7:00pm.
Many people feel out of step this time of year as others are celebrating and gathering with family and friends. Sometimes we just need space and the time to acknowledge our grief and apprehension and it is good to know that we are not alone in the experience of our sadness during the holiday season. Together, we can use our mutual sorrow as a path to rejoice this Christmas. Together we can acknowledge that it is okay to feel sad during the holidays. Please accept this invitation to be with us and to experience the hope and joy of God’s light that shines ever so bright even in the depths of our darkest night. If you need transportation to the church, or need childcare during the service, please do not hesitate to give us a call at 630-851-8010 (Church Office)
