Pastor Sang comes to us from Salem Korean United Methodist Church in Schaumburg, where he has served faithfully the last two years. Prior to that, he served at Good Samaritan United Methodist Church in Addison.

With an impressive educational background, Pastor Sang has earned a Ph.D. in Philosophical Theology and Systematic Theology from the Chicago Theological Seminary. He also holds master’s degrees from Southern Methodist University and Wesley Theological Seminary, equipping him with a profound understanding of theology and a deep commitment to the Methodist tradition.

Outside the pulpit, Pastor Sang enjoys spending quality time outdoors, walking and biking with his son, David, who will be embarking on his high school journey this fall, and his wife, Heesung Kwon.
